Wright Film<\/a> announced on Sunday that Esu Omori<\/a>‘s Shiba Inu Rooms (Shiba-tsuki Bukken<\/a>) manga is getting a television anime series that will debut in summer 2027. The staff said the anime was announced on Sunday as November 1 was “Wan Wan Wan Day” (“Wan” being the sound of a dog barking in Japanese).<\/p>\n

Osamu Yamasaki is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment<\/a>. Rio<\/a> (trapezium<\/a>, Sorcerous Stabber Orphen -Chaos in Urbanrama-<\/a>) is designing the characters.<\/p>\n

Viz Media<\/a> licensed<\/a> the manga for digital release in January 2025, and then announced<\/a> a physical release in February 2026. The company shipped the first volume in print on September 1.<\/p>\n

\tAfter moving in, high schooler Kori finds out her apartment is haunted by Mu, a Shiba Inu ghost. Like fire and ice, Kori and Mu are at odds. Can the two learn to co-exist, and even become friends?<\/p>\n

The series is also available<\/a> digitally in English on the MANGA Plus<\/a> app.<\/p>\n

The manga first launched as a one-shot in 2023, and then as a serialization on Shonen Jump+<\/a> in June 2024. Shueisha<\/a> will publish the ninth volume on November 4.<\/p>\n
