The offer is intended to preserve wood-fibre access for future industrial activity and does not include the mill.<\/p>\n<p>Natural Resources Minister John Herron said the province also engaged AFRY to assess options for the facility, including prospective buyers. The bid\u2019s value remains confidential.<\/p>\n<p>Land sale and mill review are separate<\/p>\n<p>LandVest is marketing Project Riverwood, a portfolio of 106,574 acres, approximately 43,130 hectares, principally in York and Carleton counties. Sealed bids are due on 17 December 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The precise area covered by the provincial offer has not been clarified. A reported 17,800-hectare bid should not be equated with the full marketed portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>Mill production is scheduled to stop on 4 November. The facility employs approximately 350 people and has annual dissolving-pulp capacity of around 190,000 tonnes.
