The staff for the second television anime<\/a> season<\/a> based on Nana Mikoshiba<\/a>‘s The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World<\/a> (Hy\u014dken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu – Sekai Saiky\u014d no Majutsushi de Aru Sh\u014dnen wa, Majutsu Gakuin ga Ny\u016bgaku Suru<\/a>) light novel series announced five new cast members on Tuesday. The new cast members is performing in the anime’s fifth episode on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Miyu Kubota<\/a> voices Elisa Griffith. Kubota is replacing Nana Harumura<\/a>, who retired<\/a> from voice acting in January due to health<\/a> reasons.<\/p>\n

Masahiro Takata<\/a> is returning to direct the second season, and is also returning to write and oversee the series scripts, and serve as sound director. Zero-G<\/a> is now animating the series (Cloud Hearts<\/a> animated the first season). Other scriptwriters include Tomoko Shinozuka<\/a> (returning from the first season) and Takahito \u014cnishi<\/a> (Whisper Me a Love Song<\/a>, My Happy Marriage<\/a>). Mariko Kawamoto<\/a> (Magica Wars<\/a>) is the new character designer, replacing Makoto Shimojima<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sizuk<\/a> performs the opening theme song “Diamond Dust,” and Maaya Uchida<\/a> performs the ending theme song “Compression :[.”<\/p>\n

The second season premiered on TBS<\/a> on October 8 at 1:23 a.m. and also started airing on BS11<\/a> on October 9 at 11:00 p.m. Crunchyroll<\/a> streams<\/a> the anime as it airs.<\/p>\n

Kodansha USA Publishing<\/a> licensed<\/a> the manga, and it describes the story:<\/p>\n

The Arnold Academy of Magic is a school for the elite…and Ray White is just your ordinary guy. In fact, he doesn’t seem particularly skilled with magic at all, and is a bit of a klutz. Which is why he has nothing to do with the rumor that one of the great magicians, the Iceblade Sorcerer, is a member of the incoming class…right?<\/p>\n

The first season of the television anime<\/a> premiered in January 2023. Crunchyroll streamed<\/a> the anime as it aired in Japan, and also streamed<\/a> an English dub<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mikoshiba’s original story launched on the Sh\u014dsetsuka ni Nar\u014d (Let’s Become Novelists) website in October 2019. The light novel series debuted in July 2020, with illustrations by Riko Korie<\/a>. Kodansha<\/a> publishes the light novels in print in Japan.<\/p>\n

Norihito Sasaki<\/a>‘s manga adaptation launched on Magazine Pocket<\/a> in June 2020, and ended<\/a> in January 2024. The manga’s 16th and final volume shipped in April 2024.<\/p>\n

A Hy\u014dken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu II<\/a>: Sekai Saiky\u014d no Majutsushi de Aru Sh\u014dnen wa, Majutsu Gakuin ga Ny\u016bgaku Suru sequel manga launched on May 27. Nao Kagami<\/a> illustrates the manga and Ishiya \u014cgane<\/a> is in charge of composition. Niconico<\/a> Manga publishes<\/a> the manga under Kodansha’s “Suiy\u014dbi no Sirius<\/a>” label.<\/p>\n
