Rukmini Vasanth opens up about her role<\/p>\n

Rukmini Vasanth, who plays the regal Princess Kanakavathi in \u2018Kantara Chapter 1\u2019, shared her experience of taking on a role that pushed her beyond her comfort zone.In an exclusive interview with ETimes, she said, \u201cI wouldn\u2019t call them challenges, that\u2019s our work as actors. In this film, I play the role of a princess, which is far from who I am. So I had to really understand her mental state and prepare accordingly. There was a lot of physical training too\u2014I learned sword fighting, horse riding and even worked on the dialect of South Karnataka, which is slightly different from the Kannada I usually speak. All of it was exciting and enriching.\u201dFor Rukmini, this film was more than just another role. She said, \u201cSometimes, in an acting career, you get a film that helps you explore one aspect like action, or dance, or emotions. But \u2018Kantara\u2019 gave me everything at once. I had to stretch myself in multiple directions, which was very gratifying as an actor. It made me grow, and it also made me aware of areas I can continue to work on.
