{"id":73115,"date":"2025-10-14T03:10:16","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T03:10:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/73115\/"},"modified":"2025-10-14T03:10:16","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T03:10:16","slug":"china-stocks-rally-to-stay-on-course-in-spite-of-latest-trump-tariffs-threat-soochow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/73115\/","title":{"rendered":"China stocks rally to stay on course in spite of latest Trump tariffs threat: Soochow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This year\u2019s intense rally in <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/topics\/china-stock-market?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Chinese stocks<\/a> will not change course in spite of concerns about a revived <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/knowledge\/topics\/us-china-trade-war\/news?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">trade war<\/a> between the world\u2019s two largest economies, according to Soochow Securities.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The foundation of this round of the global bull market is a weakening US dollar, said Chen Li, CEO and chief global economist at Soochow Securities (Hong Kong), on the sidelines of the firm\u2019s third capital market strategy meeting in Hong Kong on Monday.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Market jitters continued to be driven by concerns over America\u2019s fiscal policy, the global economic outlook, policy instability under President Trump and ongoing domestic political conflicts, according to Chen. \u201cNone of these factors have disappeared.\u201d<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">He said heightened trade tensions triggered a correction, but it would not have a huge impact on the market.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cWe\u2019ve seen [potential] tariffs of 245 per cent, 100 per cent \u2026 So what?\u201d Chen said, adding that investors \u201chave become immune\u201d to the prospects of higher duties.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Chen Li, CEO and chief global economist at Soochow Securities (Hong Kong).
