However, with Nintendo confirming the Switch 2 livestream, they also just confirmed that many leaks surrounding the event were real all along.<\/p>\n<p>September Nintendo Direct: Games Rumored to Be Announced<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"526\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/september-nintendo-direct-resident-evil-7.jpg\" alt=\"September Nintendo Direct Resident Evil 7\" class=\"wp-image-1903500\"  \/>Screenshot: Nintendo, Capcom<\/p>\n<p>Back in August, leaker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/GamingLeaksAndRumours\/comments\/1n0gw2e\/switchforce_states_the_direct_he_has_been_teasing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">SwitchForce claimed<\/a> that a Nintendo Direct was going to happen on September 12. At the time, many were skeptical of the rumor, given that Directs don\u2019t usually happen on Fridays. However, players were surprised when Nintendo <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NintendoAmerica\/status\/1965762503821935034?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">announced today<\/a> that a Nintendo Direct will indeed be happening on Friday, September 12, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>With the Direct being leaked a whole two weeks before its official announcement, it had many players re-examining the original leak from SwitchForce. As for where you can watch it, the official Nintendo YouTube channel already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tWIEv_aksvo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">has a link<\/a> up for the September Direct. For starters, Nintendo has confirmed that the Direct will be 60 minutes long and will focus on Switch 1 and Switch 2 games. Unfortunately, that means some of the titles featured will be for the 2017 console as well.<\/p>\n<p>Still, at an hour long, we can expect several first-party Switch 2 games to get a major spotlight at the event. While the \u201cleaked\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/is-a-new-super-mario-bros-collection-coming-to-switch-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">New Super Mario Bros. Collection<\/a> is still a rumor, it\u2019s also likely we\u2019ll see something related to Mario\u2019s 40th anniversary. <\/p>\n<p>Although it doesn\u2019t mean we\u2019ll get a new game, it would be shocking if Nintendo didn\u2019t celebrate their iconic mascot\u2019s anniversary with some form of announcement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"526\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/nintendo-direct-mario-40th-anniversary.jpg\" alt=\"Nintendo Direct Mario 40th Anniversary\" class=\"wp-image-1903503\"  \/>Screenshot: Nintendo<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also looking like we\u2019ll finally get a Metroid Prime 4 release date. With Nintendo reaffirming it will release in 2025, there are only a few months left this year. And the highly anticipated shooter was also recently rated by PEGI and other gaming boards. <\/p>\n<p>Lastly, there was recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/new-pokemon-spinoff-could-be-announced-at-september-nintendo-direct-leak-claims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">a major leak<\/a> claiming a new \u201cPok\u00e9mon Spinoff\u201d game will be revealed at the September Nintendo Direct. While I\u2019m personally skeptical about this, with the Direct leak now being proven true, anything is possible at this point.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The September Nintendo Direct has officially been announced for September 12.
