\"\u2018I Abhinav Kashyap<\/a>, younger brother of well-known filmmaker Anurag Kashyap<\/a>, has revealed that the two are no longer on speaking terms. While Anurag is famous for edgy films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘That Girl in Yellow Boots’, Abhinav made a name for himself with masala entertainers like ‘Dabangg’.Abhinav Kashyap recently said their relationship has had many ups and downs, but a recent altercation led him to cut off communication. He added that their mother is waiting for Anurag to meet her, hinting she may want to scold him.<\/p>\n

Abhinav Kashyap recalls closeness during childhood<\/p>\n

In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Kashyap spoke about their shared upbringing. He said, \u201cIt\u2019s a personal matter between me and Anurag. It\u2019s an emotional matter. A lot of people don\u2019t know this, but the two of us grew up together. We went to the same boarding school in Gwalior, then we went to the same college in Delhi University; we also came to Mumbai at around the same time. We worked in the same industry together, so we are very close.”Kashyap added that their connection runs deep, \u201cWe know each other better than our own parents know us. We keep arguing regularly. He\u2019s the older one, and when he feels I\u2019ve made a mistake, he has also raised his hand on me. He has beaten me many times, but I can\u2019t hit him back because he\u2019s older. The last time we spoke, I felt he was the one who\u2019d made a mistake, so I stopped talking to him. That\u2019s it.”<\/p>\n

Abhinav clarified comments about his mental health<\/p>\n

Abhinav Kashyap also addressed reports about his mental health allegedly being commented on by Anurag. He clarified, \u201cA lot of comments have been misattributed to him, or have been taken out of context. I also saw a meme where Anurag supposedly said that I have serious mental issues and that it\u2019s not his place to comment. I don\u2019t know if he actually said this. But I don\u2019t get upset over what Anurag says, because he\u2019s my older brother. He is also my guru, who has taught me everything I know. If I retaliate, my parents would feel bad.”<\/p>\n

Abhinav sent a humorous message to brother Anurag<\/p>\n

Abhinav Kashyap also sent light-hearted message to Anurag, showing that love still remains despite their rift, \u201cAll I want to say to him is this, \u2018Maine aapka intezaam kar diya hai. Aap ek baar ghar jaayein. Aapki mata ji ne saari purani chappalein, saare purane bartan ikkatthe kar ke rakhe hue hain aapke liye. Aapko khoob pesh kiye jayenge. Abhinav Kashyap\u2019s Bollywood journey<\/p>\n

Abhinav Kashyap made his directorial debut with the hit film ‘Dabangg’, co-writing the script with Dilip Shukla. The movie introduced the iconic Chulbul Pandey character and Sonakshi Sinha<\/a>, reviving the masala entertainer style. ‘Dabangg’ became the highest-grossing film of 2010, making Abhinav one of Bollywood\u2019s most talked-about directors overnight.<\/p>\n
