Nicki Minaj<\/a> is not going to turn March 27, 2026, into a pink Friday. The rapper has given up on\u00a0releasing her planned album, which she announced less than a month ago. \u201cOk I\u2019m not going to put out the album anymore,\u201d she tweeted<\/a>. \u201cNo more music.\u201d Minaj blamed Jay-Z for the canceled album, adding,\u00a0\u201cHope you\u2019re happy now @sc Bye, Barbz. Love you for life 6.\u201d Minaj first revealed the upcoming album on September 24 in a tweet<\/a> reading, \u201c3.27.26,\u201d which, as of the publication of this article, is still pinned to the top of her X page. Her bio on the app also remains \u201c3.27.26 = BRAND NEW ALBUM.\u201d She most recently tweeted about the album the day before canceling it, on October 14, when she quote-tweeted a Barb who was defending her and wrote \u201cGod save the BARBZ\u201d along with the album release date.<\/p>\n Minaj previously called out Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s husband\u00a0in a since-deleted July 8 tweet, claiming he owed her $100\u2013$200 million and that \u201cit\u2019s only collecting more interest,\u201d per Complex<\/a>. The disputed money appears to surround Jay-Z\u2019s music-streaming app Tidal, based on her support of tweets from Barbz referencing the app, as seen by Complex<\/a>. When the app was created in 2015, Minaj was one of 16 artists granted 3 percent equity<\/a> in exchange for making content for it. Six years later, Jay sold Tidal to Square for $302 million, The Guardian<\/a> reports.
