A24 will release the pair\u2019s team-up \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/the-drama\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-drama\" data-tag=\"the-drama\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Drama<\/a>\u201d on April 3 in North America.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/kristoffer-borgli\/\" id=\"auto-tag_kristoffer-borgli\" data-tag=\"kristoffer-borgli\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kristoffer Borgli<\/a> writes and directs the film. It marks his fourth feature film and his second with A24, which released his surreal black comedy \u201cDream Scenario\u201d in 2023. The satire debuted to strong reviews at its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and maintained momentum to land its star Nicolas Cage a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a motion picture comedy or musical.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tA24 has remained guarded about plot details for \u201cThe Drama,\u201d though it\u2019s understood that it will follow a couple whose romance faces unexpected hurdles ahead of their big day. Along with Zendaya and Pattinson, the film also stars Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie and Hailey Gates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThe Drama\u201d counts Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen as producers, through their banner Square Peg. Borgli and Tyler Campellone produce under Dilemma Films, in collaboration with A24. Square Peg and A24 have become regular partners, with their shared titles including \u201cDream Scenario,\u201d \u201cDeath of a Unicorn\u201d and Aster\u2019s four directed features, \u201cHereditary,\u201d \u201cMidsommar,\u201d \u201cBeau Is Afraid\u201d and \u201cEddington.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tZendaya and Pattinson will also be seen together next year in Christopher Nolan\u2019s \u201cThe Odyssey,\u201d among a sprawling ensemble that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong\u2019o and Charlize Theron. Not only that, but \u201cThe Drama\u201d co-stars will also both feature in \u201cDune: Part Three,\u201d  with Zendaya reprising her franchise role and Pattinson joining the series for the first time. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNext year will see Zendaya make returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d and to HBO for the third season of\u201dEuphoria.\u201d Meanwhile, Pattinson can next be seen alongside Jennifer Lawrence in Mubi\u2019s release of Lynne Ramsay\u2019s \u201cDie My Love,\u201d as well as Lance Oppenheim\u2019s narrative feature debut \u201cPrimetime,\u201d which is set up at A24 and wrapped production over the summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Zendaya and Robert Pattinson\u2018s romantic comedy has set the date.
