Actor Robert De Niro<\/a> surprised MSNBC\u2019s “The Weekend” panel after dropping an f-bomb during Sunday\u2019s show while describing Democratic pushback against President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

De Niro appeared on the show to discuss the recent “No Kings” protests that took place nationwide on Saturday and the Democratic Party\u2019s messaging strategy. The “Taxi Driver” actor largely complimented members of the party, including recently indicted<\/a> New York Attorney General Letitia James, for standing against Trump.<\/p>\n

“There\u2019s something,” De Niro said. “I like Hakeem Jeffries. I like\u2026Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, they\u2019re all great, strong. I like what Letitia James is doing. She\u2019s fighting back. She\u2019s saying, \u2018f— you!\u2019”\u00a0<\/p>\n

After an audible reaction from host Jonathan Capehart, De Niro continued, “I\u2019m sorry. This is where we are. It\u2019s what she\u2019s saying. \u2018This is it. I will not be taken down by this person. I am not afraid of him.\u2019 And God bless her for that. And that\u2019s how other people have to be.”<\/p>\n

Fox News Digital<\/a> reached out to MSNBC and De Niro\u2019s publicist for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

De Niro had previously promoted the “No Kings” protests in an Instagram video<\/a> that also featured explicit language.<\/p>\n

“The original \u2018No Kings\u2019 protest was 250 years ago,” De Niro said. “Americans decided they didn\u2019t want to live under the rule of King George III. They declared their independence and fought a bloody war for democracy. We\u2019ve had two and a half centuries of democracy since then. Often challenging, sometimes messy, always essential, and we fought in two World Wars to preserve it.”<\/p>\n

Nearly 2,000 protests were planned nationwide across many major U.S. cities including Atlanta, Portland and Washington, D.C., on Saturday. At least 100,000 people<\/a> were believed to have attended the protest in New York City\u2019s Times Square.<\/p>\n
