{"id":86399,"date":"2025-10-20T10:12:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T10:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/86399\/"},"modified":"2025-10-20T10:12:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T10:12:07","slug":"saudi-arabias-red-sea-film-fest-unveils-2025-classic-films-lineup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/86399\/","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Arabia\u2019s Red Sea Film Fest Unveils 2025 Classic Films Lineup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/red-sea-film-festival\/\" id=\"auto-tag_red-sea-film-festival\" data-tag=\"red-sea-film-festival\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Red Sea Film Festival<\/a> is set to make cinema history for <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/saudi-arabia\/\" id=\"auto-tag_saudi-arabia\" data-tag=\"saudi-arabia\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Saudi Arabia<\/a> at its upcoming edition as it hosts the country\u2019s first silent film screening accompanied by a live musical accompaniment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe UK\u2019s silent film musical specialist Neil Brand will provide live accompaniment to three silent slapstick shorts from <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/buster-keaton\/\" id=\"auto-tag_buster-keaton\" data-tag=\"buster-keaton\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Buster Keaton<\/a> (One Week), <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/charlie-chaplin\/\" id=\"auto-tag_charlie-chaplin\" data-tag=\"charlie-chaplin\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Charlie Chaplin<\/a> (The Immigrant) and Laurel &amp; Hardy (Liberty).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe live music screening event comes as Saudi Arabia continues to grow its film culture and industry in the wake of the lifting of its 35-year cinema ban in 2017.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIt was announced as part of the festival\u2019s classic film focused Treasures stand, also featuring two classic Arab and three international feature films.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe lineup also features the international premiere of the recent 4K restoration by the National Film Archive of India of Muzaffar Ali\u2019s 1981 musical drama Umrao Jaan;
