We know the all-new OnePlus 15 flagship smartphone is coming soon, but the company isn’t ready to spill all the details quite yet. Instead, OnePlus is slowly but steadily revealing key details about what makes this phone special, and how it’ll top the competition. For example, today we learned the OnePlus 15 will feature absurd battery life thanks to a massive 7,300 mAh battery.<\/p>\n

Over the course of the last few weeks, OnePlus has started teasing potential buyers with little tidbits of information about the OnePlus 15. Earlier this month, we learned that it should arrive before the end of October, at least in China, have extremely slim bezels, and sport a 165Hz refresh rate display. For comparison, most flagship phones today only have a 120Hz refresh rate.<\/p>\n

It’s clear that OnePlus thinks it has a winner here, and instead of letting leaks spill all the beans, the company is dropping hints and specs one at a time. Today, in its latest teaser posted on Weibo<\/a>, OnePlus announced that its next phone will pack an absolutely massive 7,300 mAh silicon-carbon “Glacier Battery”. This is quite the surprise, even if the OnePlus 13T had a bonkers 6,260mAh battery<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And while the battery size alone would be impressive, it’s also silicon carbon, which is the latest and greatest in battery technology<\/a>. Silicone battery packs are more energy dense, packing more battery life into the same size space as traditional cells, and they’re more energy efficient, too. By that, I mean it’ll last longer, drain slower, all without making the phone extra chunky.<\/p>\n

If that wasn’t good enough, we’re hearing the OnePlus 15 and its 7,300mAh battery will feature 120W SuperVOOC wired charging and blazing fast 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. Essentially, whenever that huge battery does start running low, you’ll be able to quickly top it off regardless of whether you’re using wired or wireless charging.<\/p>\n

It’s worth noting that phones with a big battery like this are quite rare in the United States, but they’re relatively common in China. So, OnePlus is essentially following the competition in one region, while blasting past everyone else here stateside.<\/p>\n

To put things into perspective, the 7,300 mAh battery in the OnePlus 15 is 46% bigger than the 5,000 mAh battery of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, and 40% bigger than what Google offers in its Pixel 10 Pro XL. Or even worse, it’s 51% bigger than Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max battery.<\/p>\n

The OnePlus 15 and its “Glacier Battery” should launch in China around October 27th. Then, we’ll be learning more soon about its launch in other regions, like the United States. It’s worth stating that some specs, feature names, and other information could differ by region. That said, it sounds like all models should get the huge battery. We’ll keep an eye out for more details.<\/p>\n
