(WBAY) &#8211; Brown County Public Health is holding a drug take-back event Tuesday, ahead of this weekend\u2019s National Drug Take Back Day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It will start at 11 a.m. and go until 2 p.m. at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Brown County, 300 S. Adams St.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Public Health says the goal of this event is to give people a chance to safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription medications.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">You can also bring ointments, creams, liquids, and non-aerosol sprays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">You can\u2019t bring illegal drugs, aerosol cans, or hazardous medical waste, like needles or lancets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Brown County Public Health says leaving old medications at home poses a risk for children, older adults, and people with mental health or substance abuse disorders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">They say these take-back events help prevent drug overdose deaths.
