Ace Frehley\u2019s family and friends celebrated his life <\/a>on Wednesday during an intimate ceremony in the Bronx, New York, which was also attended by Frehley\u2019s Kiss co-founders Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss.<\/p>\n

Eddie Trunk, the SiriusXM host who was a close friend of Frehley, shared reflections on the funeral and confirmed the Kiss members\u2019 attendance. \u201cAce Frehley has now been laid to rest in Bronx, NY. It has been an emotional couple of days to say the least, saying farewell to a rock icon and long-time friend,\u201d Trunk wrote on social media. \u201cAll of the services went as well as they could and were attended by a small group of family and close friends, including the 3 surviving original members of Kiss.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trunk also announced plans for a future tribute show to honor the guitarist with the blessing of Frehley\u2019s family. \u201cThat\u2019s something I feel, and many others feel, is deserved and should happen,\u201d Trunk wrote.<\/p>\n

Frehley died in Morristown, New Jersey, at age 74 on Oct. 16. Frehley\u2019s rep, Lori Lousararian, attributed his death to a \u201crecent fall at his home,\u201d though a specific cause of death was not immediately available.<\/p>\n

Kiss vocalist Simmons shared a sweet tribute <\/a>to the guitarist shortly after his death. \u201cOur hearts are broken. Ace has passed on. No one can touch Ace\u2019s legacy,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI know he loved the fans. He told me many times. Sadder still, Ace didn\u2019t live long enough to be honored at the Kennedy Ctr Honors event in Dec.\u201d<\/p>\n

Simmons added, \u201cAce was the eternal rock soldier. Long may his legacy live on!\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier that day, Simmons and Stanley shared a joint statement, describing Frehley as \u201can essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history.\u201d Frehley\u2019s bandmates added, \u201cHe is and will always be a part of KISS\u2019s legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n
