The latest Jeremy Clarkson book, Diddly Squat: The Farmer\u2019s Dog, has just been released.<\/p>\n

It is the fifth book in Mr Clarkson\u2019s series of columns about life on Diddly Squat Farm.<\/p>\n
The publisher, Penguin Books, revealed: \u2018Clarkson\u2019s Farm is the gift that keeps on giving, and now our hero has decided to bring his misunderstood entrepreneurial flair to bear on a new venture: a pub. Let the doors open on The Farmer\u2019s Dog.<\/p>\n
\u2018All British produce, Hawkstone beer on tap, a private bar for farmers and a vintage tractor hanging from the ceiling. The perfect country pub. But as the Cotswolds\u2019 newest publican quickly discovers, there\u2019s a lot more to landlording than pulling pints.<\/p>\n

Season four of Clarkson\u2019s Farm<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, Clarkson\u2019s Farm fans enjoyed the new season of the farming show.<\/p>\n
In season four, Mr Clarkson is taking on his most ambitious project yet, setting out to buy a pub that will reignite his farm-to-fork restaurant vision.<\/a><\/p>\n But the road to becoming a landlord is not exactly straightforward, and with new faces, new livestock and new machinery arriving at the farm, life at Diddly Squat is busier than ever.<\/p>\n Mr Clarkson said: \u201cIt\u2019s very stressful running a pub. It\u2019s more stressful than running a farm. You\u2019re on your own on the farm, which is why there\u2019s so much unhappiness in farming, because you\u2019re dealing with it all on your own.<\/p>\n \u201cThe benefit is you don\u2019t worry about other people, whereas with the pub, you\u2019ve probably got 80 people working there. So it requires more attention running a pub.<\/p>\n \u201cI called people who\u2019ve got pubs, like myself, who don\u2019t come from a pub background, and they all said, \u2018Don\u2019t do it. Don\u2019t do it. It\u2019s too stressful, and there\u2019s absolutely no money in it. In fact, you lose money\u2019.
