Ashley Tisdale<\/a> opened up about the pressures of living in Los Angeles and choosing not to go on one of the many weight-loss drugs currently available. <\/p>\n

The former Disney Channel star, who assured readers she is fully in support of anyone who chooses to go the Ozempic or Wegovy route, explained the evolution of GLP-1s in Hollywood \u2015 and why she\u2019s not on one herself. <\/p>\n

\u201cA few years ago, almost nobody in LA would admit to using Ozempic,\u201d Tisdale wrote in her blog on Thursday<\/a> about one of the most popular GLP-1s on the market. \u201cIt was all very mysterious and nobody was super-open about it,\u201d she continued. <\/p>\n

\u201cTo be clear: I have absolutely ZERO judgment toward anyone using Ozempic or other similar medications. Zero,\u201d she said, adding that the drugs are \u201clife-changing\u201d and \u201ctruly transformative\u201d for people.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut when I see people who are already thin signing up for it, I can\u2019t help but think of how body trends keep shifting,\u201d Tisdale said. \u201cWe keep moving the goalposts and it\u2019s exhausting. What makes it harder is the nonstop online commentary.\u201d <\/p>\n

The actor said that all of the internet critiques leave people feeling like \u201cno matter what they do, they\u2019ll be judged.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cYou really can\u2019t win. Which is why, at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is how you feel in your own body,\u201d she said. And though she\u2019s \u201cbeen tempted\u201d to try the weight-loss drugs, she\u2019s \u201cdecided that Ozempic isn\u2019t the right move for me.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not against Western medicine by any means, but I like to take a holistic view of weight, which is so deeply tied to hormones, sleep, food, mental health, genetics, and stress,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd sometimes autoimmune issues, which I personally live with.\u201d <\/p>\n

Tisdale joins a chorus of other celebrities who have decided to stay away from weight-loss drugs, or tried Ozempic and found it didn\u2019t quite agree with them. <\/p>\n

James Corden<\/a> revealed last year that, while he\u2019d been on Ozempic for weight loss, he\u2019d been unsuccessful<\/a> in his efforts to actually drop weight. <\/p>\n

\u201cI tried Ozempic, and it won\u2019t be surprising to you when you look at me now, that it didn\u2019t really work,\u201d the former late night show host said on his podcast. \u201cI tried it for a bit, and then what I realized was I was like, \u2018Oh no, nothing about my eating has anything to do with being hungry.\u2019 All this does is make you feel not hungry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amy Schumer also revealed that she\u2019d tried the drug, but found it didn\u2019t work for her for other reasons. <\/p>\n
