Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been at war since 2016, when the actress, 50, filed for divorce after alleging an intoxicated Brad, 61, was physically and verbally abusive aboard a private plane the two were traveling on with their six kids \u2014 claims Brad has denied. (After an investigation, no charges were filed.)<\/p>\n

Now, in the exes\u2019 battle over Ch\u00e2teau Miraval, their estate and vineyard in the South of France, the Maleficent actress is accusing Brad of all but robbing her of her home. Saying that the run-up to the split was \u201cemotionally difficult\u201d for her and the children, Angelina wrote in new legal papers, \u201cUpon filing for divorce, I left him control (and full residency) of our family homes in Los Angeles and at Miraval, without compensation, which I hoped would make him calmer in his dealings with me,\u201d according to documents obtained by Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Further, she claims \u201cto this day,\u201d she \u201cnever again set foot on the property, given its connection to the painful events leading to the divorce.\u201d She claims that even though her money was tied up in the estate, she \u201chad not asked Brad for alimony or any other financial support,\u201d presumably to explain her 2021 sale of her shares of the French estate to Yuri Shefler for $64 million.<\/p>\n

The filing comes after Brad argued that they\u2019d agreed that neither would sell without the other\u2019s approval.<\/p>\n

A source tells Star his camp believes Angelina is trying to \u201ccreate a distracting narrative\u201d with the new claims. \u201cThey say Angelina violated his rights. That\u2019s why he\u2019s seeing this case through in the court of law.\u201d<\/p>\n
