\n\tAdam Brody<\/a> is revealing what it was like to have Seth Rogen<\/a> join Nobody Wants This<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a new interview with People<\/a>, he spoke about working alongside Rogen on a project for the first time and the energy The Studio<\/a> boss brought to his scenes with fellow guest star Kate Berlant.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe just let it rip. He and Kate Berlant, who I\u2019m also a huge fan of, just went way off script,\u201d Brody said. \u201cI just got to buckle up and hang on.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn season two of the hit Netflix<\/a> show, The O.C. <\/a>alum\u2019s<\/a> character, rabbi Noah and his agnostic girlfriend Joanne (Kristen Bell) are trying to navigate their differences. In Noah\u2019s search for a temple more accepting of Joanne\u2019s timeline and of when \u2014 or if \u2014 she\u2019ll convert to Judaism, he finds a progressive temple run by Neil (Rogen) and Cami (Berlant). However, Noah has a hard time adjusting to their laid-back approach to religion.<\/p>\n

\n\tBrody calls Rogen\u2019s Neil a \u201crock \u2018n\u2019 roll rabbi to Noah\u2019s more buttoned-up one.\u201d He also praised Rogen as being \u201cso funny and talented.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe\u2019s incredibly gregarious, and he\u2019s identifiably Jewish,\u201d Brody continued to describe why Rogen was right for the role. \u201cI think he\u2019s just a great fit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this year, the actors were both up for best actor in a comedy series at the 2025 Emmys, for their respective shows. Rogen won the prize<\/a> for playing Matt Remick in The Studio.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnother highly anticipated guest star<\/a> this season is Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, who is married to Brody in real life. Meester plays Abby, Joanne\u2019s nemesis from middle school. At Nobody Wants This<\/a>\u2018 season two premiere last week, the show\u2019s creator, Erin Foster, told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> about rewriting Meester\u2019s episode so she interacts with Brody.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s because the character was already written into the script without being cast at all,\u201d Foster said. \u201cWhen [Meester] said yes, I went back into the script \u2014 they didn\u2019t even have any scenes together, so I gave them their little scene together and I really wanted him to say, \u2018She\u2019s not my type.\u2019 He says that in the episode and it just meant a lot to me to get to say something funny like that because I thought it could become a meme.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Adam Brody is revealing what it was like to have Seth Rogen join Nobody Wants This.
