In fact, despite being pregnant, Demi was determined to do whatever it took to get ready for the camera.
“I was going to be in a military uniform, and probably overly-anticipated and started working out and trying to get in shape even before she was born,” she revealed. “I did a two-and-a-half-hour hike the day my water broke. I did a 24-mile bike ride, and then was dancing at a reggae club—hence why she came two-and-a-half weeks early.”
Over the years, however, Demi’s thoughts on her space in Hollywood began to evolve. And as she took the stage to accept her first-ever Golden Globe for The Substance earlier this year, she shared insight into the weight of being a woman in the film industry.
“In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough, or basically just not enough,” Demi emphasized, “I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.'”
