The Today show celebrated Halloween on Friday, Oct. 31, showing off their matching costumes with a U.S. road trip theme

Co-hosts Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Jenna Bush Hager, Carson Daly, Al Roker and more went all-out for their themed looks as Miranda Priestly, Prince, Anna Wintour, Rocky Balboa and more

The group debuted their ensembles on the Today Show Plaza at Rockefeller Center

Happy Halloween from the Today show!

It was a spooky Friday on the Plaza for fans of the NBC morning show, which is known for its all-out group costumes.  And on Friday, Oct. 31, the group did a Today Road Trip around the United States.

Co-hosts Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, Jenna Bush Hager, Carson Daly, Sheinelle Jones, Dylan Dreyer and Willie Geist all showed off their impressive looks in the show’s second hour as fans crowded the Plaza, cheering them on.

First up, representing the Garden State of New Jersey, was meteorologist Dreyer as Frankie Valle of the Four Seasons.

Then Daly came jogging in to represent Philadelphia as Rocky Balboa, made iconic by Sylvester Stallone. Roker as Mr. T’s Clubber Lane.

Laura Jarrett took on the task of representing the state of California by playing Lisa Turtle from Saved by the Bell. She even had a fun call with Mario Lopez, a.k.a. the real A.C. Slater.

For the pride of Las Vegas, Geist took on Wayne Newton, belting out some classics.

Melvin turned the Plaza purple as Prince singing “Purple Rain,” to represent Minnesota.

It was Jones who really brought the house down as the pride of Texas, Beyoncé. Clad in full Cowboy Carter garb and riding a horse, the Today 3rd Hour staple got on stage and showed off her “Texas Hold ‘Em” moves.

To represent Florida, Peter Alexander leaned in as Jimmy Buffett, bald head and all!

And closing out the show were New York City’s most fashionable editors — Anna Wintour and Miranda Priestly — played by Bush Hager and Guthrie, respectively. After doing their own skits, the two powerhouse women got together to dance to Madonna’s “Vogue.”

Each recent year of the morning show’s group costumes have featured a specific theme. In 2024, the co-hosts dressed up like characters from hit films from the ‘80s, ‘90s and ‘00s.

Roker and Dreyer had some fun as Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder’s characters from Beetlejuice. Guthrie enlisted actor Luke Wilson to be the Emmett to her Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.

Daly and Jones teamed up to be Austin Powers and Foxxy Cleopatra, who were played by Mike Myers and Beyoncé, respectively in the film Goldmember.

Correspondent Peter Alexander dressed as Robin Williams’ iconic character of Mrs. Doubtfire, while Laura Jarrett played Gabrielle Union’s rival cheerleading character Isis from Bring It On.

Geist stayed classy as Ron Burgundy from Anchorman, while Melvin kept his cool as Axel F. Foley from the movie Beverly Hills Cop.

And closing out the show were since-retired co-host Hoda Kotb and Bush Hager as Jack and Rose, originally played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, from Titanic.
