The three international Melbourne Cup horses under veterinary scrutiny have been passed to accept for Tuesday
International Melbourne Cup contenders Absurde, Flatten The Curve and Goodie Two Shoes have all been passed to tackle Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup after being re-examined by vets on Saturday morning.
The trio were placed on notice during the week after Racing Victoria’s veterinarians conducted their mandatory pre-race testing and found that all three had changed gaits since last visited by RV vets.
But following further examinations on Saturday morning, the three were passed and will be allowed to be paid-up for.
A final declaration fee of $55,000 is due from all Melbourne Cup contenders by the deadline of 4.30pm on Saturday.
