The Panthers have notified the NRL that a Warriors fan page on Facebook is encouraging supporters to make a scene outside Penrith’s team hotel in Auckland to disrupt their preparations for the elimination final.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, an unofficial Warriors fan page on Facebook has urged its 35,000 members to cause chaos outside the Pullman Hotel in Auckland, where the Panthers team are staying, in the very early hours on Saturday morning to distract the premiers who will be doing battle with the Warriors later that day.

The page on Facebook is titled “New Zealand Warriors Till I Die” and is a private supporter group.

The group put together a list of what it calls a “multi choice list of ways to help” the Warriors in their do or die clash against the Panthers on Saturday evening at Mt Smart Stadium.

The top item with the title “ATTENTION ALL WARRIORS WHANAU!” names the Pullman Hotel in Auckland as the accommodation the Panthers are using during their stay.

“Fireworks, burnouts and screaming outside the hotel is highly recommended anytime between 1-4am on Saturday,” the post, which was published by an account with the name Sione Tuigamala, read.

Panthers rugby league chief executive Matt Cameron encouraged fans to behave in a “responsible” way.

“We’re aware of the post that has been circulating,” Cameron said.

“I’m all for the fans being passionate about their team. I would expect both sets of fans to act responsibly while still supporting their clubs.”

The three items on the list published on the Facebook page include:

“Egging the coach box: Brings eggs into the game and egg the panther coach box.”

“Pitch invadez (LAST RESORT) – If panthers are on attack and we’re a man or two short on D feel free to jump onto the field and get into the defend line.

“Everything goes this Saturday. Any questions please DM me. LES GO ONE NZ WARRIORS.”

But Warriors chief executive Cameron George said the Panthers have nothing to worry about.

“There’s no need for Penrith to be concerned or stressed,” George said.

“We have very responsible fans. We don’t expect anything other than them being jovial about the weekend.”

The Panthers have not requested to be moved to different accommodation.

The winner of the Warriors/Panthers clash will play the loser of the qualifying final between the Storm and the Bulldogs.
