RTÉ schedule has been freshened up and has more room to breathe

You’d imagine RTÉ’s director of radio, Patricia Monahan, took an extra few moments looking into the mirror during her ablutions yesterday morning. In the job for nearly a year-and-a-half, this is the day when her new broom swept everything into place.
November is an unlikely time for first-day-of-school vibes, but nonetheless, after a year or two of positional changes and temporary fill-ins, RTE Radio 1’s weekday output finally has a mature, settled look about it.
