A cordon has been put up around a building in Wellington on Wednesday afternoon after reports there may have been a person with a gun.
The police say the cordon on Webb Street is a precaution, and it is not yet confirmed that there is a firearm.
RNZ’s reporter on the scene says there are armed and regular police there, and a number of police cars.
Armed police can be seen outside this building.
