Kylie Jenner said she was “in a really bad place” following her hairstylist Jesus Guerrero’s death in February and felt unsure about making her acting debut in a new movie titled The Moment
Jenner will costar with Charli xcx, Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant in more in the A24 project, due in theaters next year
“I had a very small part. I mean, I had a lot of lines, but I was just so afraid,” Jenner said of filming the movie
Kylie Jenner was hesitant to commit to making her acting debut in the weeks after her hairstylist Jesus Guerrero died at 34.
When Jenner, 28, appeared on her older sister Khloé Kardashian‘s Khloé in Wonderland podcast on Wednesday, Nov. 12, the model and businesswoman said that she committed to acting in A24’s forthcoming movie titled The Moment with Charli xcx “right around” when Guerrero died of a lung infection in February.
“I committed to it and then I was like, ‘Wow, I’m in a really bad place and I just don’t know, in a month from now, if I’ll be okay to do this,’ ” Jenner recalled. “I think it was like a month away. I know the director [Aidan Zamiri] obviously, so I was like in contact with him and I’m like, ‘I really want to do it. I hope that I’m in a better place. Like just give me a chance, I’ll get it together.’ “
Jenner noted that she sought out Kim Kardashian for “a little encouragement and some advice” regarding the part, since Kim, 45, has recently appeared in television shows like American Horror Story and All’s Fair. “I read the lines to her like how I would say it,” she said of her conversation with Kim. “And she was like, ‘You’re saying it perfect. You got this. This is so easy.’ “

Charli xcx announced the new movie The Moment in an Instagram post on Oct. 9. The movie will also costar Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, Arielle Dombasle, Rachel Sennott, Rish Shah and Alexander Skarsgard. Zamiri, the director behind The Moment, irected two music videos for the Brat singer in 2024 and worked with Jenner’s boyfriend Timothée Chalamet on a commercial for Cash App this year.Â
When it came to actually performing in the movie, Jenner confessed to Kardashian on the podcast that she felt “so scared for days to actually do it,” after her sister asked what in Jenner’s career makes her most afraid. “I had a very small part. I mean, I had a lot of lines, but I was just so afraid. I think I’m so used to – I think I used to do a lot more things out of my comfort zone, and now I’m used to like being very sheltered,” she said. “Anyway, I was very scared to do this and very proud of myself when I did it.”

Jenner told Kardashian that she is playing herself in the movie, though she noted, “I can’t tell you anything other than that.” When Kardashian asked if Jenner is interested in pursuing acting further, she said, “I would do it if it was like the right thing and the right role,” and implied she would be interested in acting in comedies moving forward.
The Moment is expected to hit theaters in 2026.
