Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are heating things up in the full trailer for filmmaker Emerald Fennell‘s Wuthering Heights.

Based on author Emily Brontë’s classic novel of the same name, the movie is set for theatrical release from Warner Bros. on Feb. 13, 2026. Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell round out the cast.

“Why did you leave me?” Robbie asks in the trailer. Elordi then wants to know, “Why did you betray your own heart?”

Fennell directed the movie from her own script that is based on Brontë’s book. Fennell, Robbie and Josey McNamara produce the project that hails from LuckyChap and MRC. The trailer includes a song from Charli xcx‘s forthcoming album that was created for the film.

Robbie portrays Catherine Earnshaw, while Elordi co-stars as Heathcliff. First published in 1847, the novel centers on the tempestuous relationship between Catherine and Heathcliff that includes passion and revenge after they meet while living at the eponymous residence.

Wuthering Heights marks Fennell’s third collaboration with LuckyChap, which also produced Fennell’s previous films Promising Young Woman (2020) and Saltburn (2023). Promising Young Woman was nominated for five Oscars, notching a win for Fennell’s screenplay.

There have been several screen adaptations of Wuthering Heights, including director William Wyler’s 1939 version that starred Laurence Olivier and Merle Oberon and was nominated for best picture. More recent versions include Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley starring in a 2009 miniseries for ITV, while a 2011 feature starred Kaya Scodelario and James Howson.
