Some of the most exciting names in contemporary Polish photography are now appearing at this year’s edition of Paris Photo—one of the world’s most important events dedicated to artistic photography.
From November 13–16, at the Grand Palais in Paris, thanks to presentations prepared by the galleries Jednostka, lokal_30, Raster, and Monopol, works by Joanna Rajkowska, Diana Lelonek, Zuzanna Janin, Weronika Gęsicka, Marta Zgierska, Aneta Grzeszykowska, Jan Smaga, Michał Łuczak, and Łukasz Rusznica are on display.
The Paris audience can also admire works by the classics of Polish photography such as Zofia Rydet, Krzysztof Pruszkowski, and Wojciech Plewiński, as well as one of the pioneers of conceptual art in Poland, Maria Michałowska.
Also present at the fair is BLOW UP PRESS—the first Polish publishing house to participate in Paris Photo. This November, they showcase special editions and premiere photobooks by Weronika Gęsicka, Hubert Humka, Nastasia Leliuk, Natalia Wiernik, Małgorzata Stankiewicz, Karolina Spolniewski, and Paweł Żak.
The exhibitions, photobook premieres, and meetings with artists will offer a broad overview of contemporary Polish photography—from the classics to a new generation of creators. The strong presence of Poland at this event is a testament to the growing international interest in Polish photography and its universal artistic language.
