Netflix recently shared a clip of Captain Smoker, played by Callum Kerr, in One Piece Season 2.

On X (formerly Twitter), the official account of Netflix’s One Piece series shared the clip and captioned it, “From the haze of Loguetown’s docks, justice rolls in! Captain Smoker has arrived!” The video shows Kerr as Smoker riding the character’s famous Billower Bike.

The actor sports the character’s signature white hair and marine outfit. Fans can also see him smoking two cigars, which perfectly resembles the character in the anime. In another post, Smoker can be seen with his subordinate, Tashigi, played by Julia Rehwald. The announcement of Kerr’s casting was made in June 2024. In an Instagram post, the actor wrote, “Been waiting to share this one…. Excited and thankful to be joining @onepiecenetflix as Smoker. All that cigar smoking practice is finally coming in handy 😉 Let’s go!!”

The Live-action One Piece series made its debut in 2023 and has also been renewed for Season 3. Eichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, was also involved in casting the actors for the series.

The synopsis for Season 2 reads, “Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey  through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.”
