It marked the first time a President of Portugal had visited Monaco, with the royal couple hosting a welcome ceremony for President Rebelo de Sousa, who went on to bestow both Albert and Charlene with the Grand Cross of the Order of Christ. The trio then went on a tour of the Jardins Saint-Martin, where they took in the ‘Oceanographer Soverign’ exhibition dedicated to King Carlos I of Portugal and inaugurated a bust of the King.
Emilia Wickstead was the order of the day for Princess Charlene, who wore the Kalonice Waistcoast midi coat dress in dark green from the royally-beloved brand, which has long been a favourite of the British royals. Indeed, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, has the exact same design in an Indigo colour, which she has worn on a number of occasions.
First up: the Firm’s Christmas Day celebrations in 2024. Joining her royal relatives at Sandringham, Sophie paired the coat dress with a dazzling array of Chopard jewellery, including a necklace, a pair of earrings, and a bracelet from the House’s happy diamonds collection. Evidently, the dress became a favourite of Sophie’s, with the Duchess donning the piece for the Sovereign’s Parade at Sandhurst this April, where she paired it with Prada pumps and a clutch by Sophie Habsburg, as well as a Jane Taylor hat and earrings from G. Collins and Sons.
