Te Puke residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the Monoeka Rd area today.
An investigation is under way into how a person was seriously injured in the Western Bay of Plenty township.
Police said a person drove themselves to Te Puke medical centre with serious injuries this morning.
“The person has subsequently been transported to Tauranga Hospital.
“Officers are working to establish the circumstances leading to the injuries.
“Te Puke residents can expect to see a police presence in the Manoeka Rd area as we make inquiries.”
