Hindi: Kantara A Legend Chapter 1

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 made its digital debut in October, but only in South Indian languages. But now the Kannada blockbuster film, which is also the highest-grossing Indian movie of the year (so far), is available to stream in Hindi as well. The film is streaming on Prime Video, and OTTplay Premium subscribers can also watch it with a top-up option. The mystical forest of Kantara is once again the focus in the 2025 film, with a young tribal warrior seeking to protect it from a ruthless prince and his forces.
Regai
A medical thriller, Regai delves into the police investigation into a clinical trial the participants of which are dying in accidents. Is this a cover-up? SI Vetri is in charge of the probe against the medical team in this Tamil series, which is adapted from novelist Rajesh Kumar’s book. Balahasan and Pavitra Janani play the lead roles in the series, with seven episodes.
Sharaf U Dheen in The Pet Detective’s trailer
Tony joins his dad’s detective firm, not because he wants to crack cases but to impress the father of his girlfriend. He starts off as a pet detective, but things take a sinister turn when he gets embroiled in incidents involving smugglers. The film promises mindless fun, making it a perfect weekend watch. Sharaf U Dheen plays the lead, while Anupama Parameswaran gets a fun role after her strenuous Janaki in Suresh Gopi-starrer JSK.
A police officer and his team’s efforts to thwart terrorist attacks, planned from across the border, are depicted in this Bengali political action thriller film. Victor Banerjee and Abir Chatterjee lead the film, which is the sequel to Raktabeej, which was released in 2023. If you are looking for a compelling film to watch this weekend, Raktabeej 2 would be your best bet.
Gopalkrishna Deshpande in Green
Another gripping film, but this Kannada film delves into the conflicts of the human mind. A man’s battle with paranoid schizophrenia is depicted in the psychological thriller Green, helmed by Raaj Vijay. Gopalkrishna Deshpande plays the lead role along with Balaji Manohar and RJ Vikki.
