Actor Ralph Ineson, who played the world-devouring entity Galactus in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, appears extremely terrifying in a set photo. The movie debuted in theaters on July 25, 2025, and introduced both the titular team of superheroes and Galactus into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A set photo circulating online shows Ineson in the Galactus suit, looking both impressive and intimidating. Galactus serves as the primary antagonist in the movie and seeks to devour Earth.
Ineson is also known for his performances in the Harry Potter movies, The Witch (2015), and The Green Knight (2021). He spoke in detail about how it felt watching himself for the first time on screen as Galactus during a July interview with GQ. “I was blown away by it, as I kind of hoped and expected to be, just when you know the quality of the people you’re working with,” Ineson recalled. “I was expecting them to pull it off. It’s quite a sight when you first see the character, the scale. The way they shot me, to blow it up that big, was incredible.”
Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created Galactus, who made his first comic-book appearance in Fantastic Four #48, published in 1966. Since then, the character has become an integral part of Marvel Comics and Marvel storytelling.
Toward the end of First Steps, the titular team fights Galactus. Ultimately, Shalla-Bal / Silver Surfer pushes the cosmic being through a portal, which takes both of them to distant stars, far away from Earth.
In a July 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ineson expressed his desire to reprise the role. “There’s a lot to explore in the lore, and he is a big character in the whole universe,” the actor said. “But I would be one of the last people to know whether they are going to bring Galactus back. That’s a decision for Kevin [Feige] and the big boys, but I’d obviously love to come back and do some more Galactus.”
