WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler pulls out of appearances due to health issues.

Lawler has pulled out of several upcoming conventions and signing events, including the well-known Horror Hound Weekend. PWInsider confirmed that the change in schedule was announced within the last 24 hours, with the initial explanation given as “personal reasons.”

The reports confirmed that Jerry Lawler decided to cancel these appearances so he can focus on his health. While the exact nature of of WWE Hall of Famer’s health concerns has not been revealed.

Lawler’s health has gone through many ups and downs over the years. In 2012, he once collapsed at the commentary table while calling a match, which led to medical personnel rushing him to the hospital. However, in 2023, the he faced another scare when he suffered a stroke.

In 2012, during an episode of WWE Raw, Jerry Lawler was calling matches alongside Michael Cole when he unfortunately suffered a heart attack on live television. In an interview with Busted Open Radio, Lawler later reflected on the frightening incident, admitting that he remembered very little about what happened. He explained that Michael Cole had to tell him the details afterward.

He also revealed that, despite being treated in Canada where healthcare is typically free, the hospital billed him $20,000. WWE stepped in and took care of the full amount. “They kept me in the hospital for a few days in Canada. Free healthcare- you’re supposed to get in Canada, that’s a big lie, they sent me a bill for 20,000 dollars. Yes, WWE paid.”
