He told HELLO!: “They seemed to really enjoy it – we got to perform a tiny little peek of the show at the Royal Variety, and it went down very well, so I’m hoping it gets the same reaction tonight.”
Speaking to the publication about the Waleses children, producer Sonia Friedman also: “We can’t wait for Paddington to meet the children of the Prince and Princess of Wales because I think they’re going to come to the show, which will be very special.”
Tom also confirmed that Catherine and William have received an invitation to the show, adding: “I have invited [the Prince and Princess of Wales] to see the show, so who knows. Hopefully, at some point, they’ll make it to a theatre to see it.”
Speaking of her children whilst attending the Royal Variety Performance last month, Catherine revealed that George, Charlotte and Louis would be “very sad” that they were not in attendance.
After asking young attendees, Emelia and Olivia, if they were fans of Paddington, Catherine added spoke of her children.
She told them: “My kiddies will be very sad [to have missed the show], we are going to have to keep it a big secret” as she brought her finger to her lips.
She added: “They were very sad not to be joining us.”
