Police said motorists could face significant delays after the closure of State Highway 27 near Waharoa this morning. It reopened this afternoon.

A Waikato highway has reopened after being closed because of a police operation.

Police notified the closure of a part of State Highway 27, near Waharoa, shortly before 10am today.

They said motorists could expect delays on the highway near Seddon St, at Waharoa, because of the operation.

In an
update this afternoon, they said they had completed a search warrant at a Seddon St address, and the road had reopened.
