“Army, are you ready?” That is the introduction to the trailer for K-pop supergroup BTS’ upcoming BTS Movie Weeks.

While Army, BTS’ fandom name, wait for their idols’ new music and world tour in 2026, they can relive the boy band’s live performances on the big screen through four concert films, each remastered in 4K ultra-high definition and 5.1 surround sound.

The two-week theatrical event – from Sept 24 to Oct 5 – will see four of BTS’ most celebrated concert films screened in 2,500 theatres in more than 65 countries.

The screenings in Singapore will be held at Shaw Theatres, and each title represents a milestone moment in BTS’ rise to global phenomenon status.

The first week of screenings, from Sept 24 to 28, will feature BTS 2016 Live The Most Beautiful Moment In Life On Stage: Epilogue Remastered and BTS 2017 Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour The Final Remastered.

The second week, from Oct 1 to 5, will see the release of BTS 2019 World Tour “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” London Remastered and BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo Remastered.

BTS Movie Weeks come as the South Korean titans prepare for their highly anticipated return to active group activities.

Chef’s Go-To, a docuseries on where South Korea’s top chefs go to eat.

Seoul was recently named the world’s most beloved city, and those planning to travel to South Korea’s capital can check out this docuseries, featuring culinary delights in back-alley eateries that some of the country’s top chefs swear by.

Chef’s Go-To is hosted by South Korean singer-actor Yoon Doo-joon, South Korean chef Kim Min-seong and three popular chefs from reality cooking show Culinary Class Wars (2024) – “Cooking Maniac” Yoon Nam-no, “Self-made Chef” Lim Tae-hoon and “Meat Gangster” David Lee.

Each episode focuses on a different guest chef and his or her favourite go-to eatery, revealing personal stories and the special charm of these hidden gems.

The first episode has Culinary Class Wars contestant “Auntie Omakase #1” Lee Mi-ryeong introducing the hosts to a tiny, nondescript stall with no signboard in an alley at Gyeongdong Market. The stall manned by one woman has a 50-year history and offers a hearty five-course omakase meal.

The second episode follows celebrity chef Jung Ji-sun, also known as the Queen of Dim Sum, as she takes the hosts to Yeongdeungpo District, where restaurant Dangsan Hall is her go-to place for Korean beef gopchang (small intestines).

New episodes are released every Tuesday.

This K-drama is serving up lots of heat, from the leads’ chemistry to the delectable cuisine presented in each episode.

Yoona from K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation plays top chef Yeon Ji-young, who mysteriously finds herself crash-landing in Joseon-era Korea. She meets King Yi Heon (Lee Chae-min), a tyrant with a refined palate.

Ji-young’s mastery in the kitchen saves her from meeting her fate, and she soon becomes the king’s personal chef. The way to a man’s heart is indeed through his stomach, as Yi Heon finds himself attracted to Ji-young.

Apart from romance, food takes centre stage in the 12-episode series, dishing out fusion cuisine inspired by Ji-young’s training in classical French cuisine.

There are already tutorials online on how to make the barley rice bibimbap that she serves the king.

To prepare for the role, Yoona attended a cooking academy for three months to learn basic knife skills and food preparation.

Since its debut on Aug 23, Bon Appetit, Your Majesty has steadily climbed in viewership. It is currently sitting at No. 2 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Shows chart. It is also the No. 1 show in 29 countries, including Singapore.
