Kevin Jonas is opening up about why he doesn’t sing as often as his brothers on Jonas Brothers songs.
The 38-year-old singer recently released his first-ever solo single with the song “Changing” and went on the The Zach Sang Show to talk about singing and why he was reluctant to do it in the past.

Discussing the single specifically, Kevin admitted that he felt confident singing it, but it was also one of the first times he really pushed himself to try it.
Zach asked him why he didn’t sing like that before and he answered honestly.
“I don’t know man,” Kevin started. “I know it sounds like such a dumb answer but I just felt like I didn’t have in me.” And that’s also why he didn’t sing on past Jonas Brothers albums.
He admitted to feeling intimidated singing next to his brothers Nick and Joe Jonas, who have both had other projects to better their craft, like Nick with Broadway and his solo career and Joe with DNCE.
“It’s a little difficult. You’ve heard them sing. So, you grow up watching people just crush it and kill it every single night. And also it takes a lot. I know how much it takes to be present vocally, constantly. I don’t believe I had the chops to do it,” said the dad-of-two.
Kevin will return to the world of Camp Rock alongside his brothers soon. Watch the first teaser!
