Christmas trees can be decorated so many different ways inspired by all sorts of trends and styles.

It’s an approach I’ve followed for my own tree over the past few years and involves looking for decorations that feel like me, represent something I love, whether it’s a colour, animal or hobby, regardless of its association to the season.
I’m just days away from putting up my Christmas tree which means I’ve been thinking about what to add to my unique collection.
One set I’ve had my eye on is the six-piece Ocean Decoration Pack from Kmart.
For $10 this cute set includes shell, dolphin, seahorse, lobster and palm tree decoration designs.

This is perfect for representing my life on the coast – something I have yet to include in my collection.
I would’ve never thought to include the ocean on a Christmas tree if I hadn’t seen the set and am absolutely delighted to have come across it.
The colours of the shells and seahorse match the palette I already have, while the brighter lobster, dolphin and palm tree will complement it with a pop of colour.
Another detail fitting in perfectly with the decorations I currently own is the shiny metallic look because what’s Christmas without some sparkle?
