It’s no secret that one of the most sought-after gifts in Hollywood is one of Tom Cruise’s famous White Chocolate Coconut Bundt Cake — but who are the bakers behind the delicious treat?
As it turns out, Cruise, 63, enlists the services of Doan’s Bakery in Woodland Hills, California — and he’s worked with them ever since the late Diane Keaton first introduced them to his ex-wife Katie Holmes in 2008.
The Top Gun: Maverick star’s company, Cruise/Wagner Productions, provides a list of recipients to the family owned business, which then gets to work on baking the cakes.
Eric Doan, the owner, told the Daily Mail that he begins working on the cakes, which are the same every year, “a couple weeks ahead” of Christmas and typically makes “a couple hundred cakes.”
“I box them specifically in a gift box for them, and then they [Cruise/Wagner Productions] dress them up,” he told the outlet. “He does the large size and then a medium size, and then he does some smaller token ones, I think for employees, or who knows?”

According to People, stars including Glen Powell, Miles Teller and Rose O’Donnell have been lucky recipients. However, the list has been known to change from year to year, something Doan said can result in major disappointment.
“I do get a lot of people who at one time received a cake because they’d worked on a movie or in some capacity [with Cruise], and then they don’t get one anymore,” he explained. “People come in and say, ‘Oh, we used to get it every year. Now we don’t because we’re not doing the [movie] anymore.’”
And while Doan has previously met Holmes, 46, he revealed he hasn’t actually met Cruise yet.
“I would love to meet him someday. I mean, when my mom was dying with cancer a couple years ago, he actually called her, like a week before she passed,” he shared with the publication. “Honestly, what a mensch. It was just pretty cool.”
