Following her reported method of reaching out, The Times have now reported that Meghan plans on sending a handwritten note in hopes of getting in touch with her dad.
A source close to Meghan told the publication: “There’s been progress, but she hasn’t made contact [yet]… It’s hoped and expected.”
PEOPLE previously reported that it’s understood the mum-of-two had personally called several hospitals in an effort to locate her father, but was having difficulty confirming where he was being treated.
It has previously been reported that Meghan does not have a working phone number for her father, who has never met Prince Harry or his grandchildren, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
Dr Neil Sanico, who performed Mr Markle’s surgery last week, has spoken out recently and confirmed that the operation went well.
Dr Sanico said: “The surgery was a success, and the wound is healing well.”
He told The Mail: “Mr Markle is making good progress. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him, but moving out of the ICU and into a regular room is a positive step.”
