Popular Adelaide radio station, SAFM, is set to revitalise its breakfast show in the new year, with a fresh lineup promising to bring more laughs, insightful discussions, and compelling content to their morning listeners. Starting January 19th, the revamped show, aptly titled ‘Bel, Bernie, & Emma G’, will air weekdays from 6am to 9am, featuring a mix of old and new voices.
Emma Georgiadis, known affectionately as Emma G to her listeners, returns from maternity leave with rejuvenated energy and new stories from her life as a new parent. Adelaide’s morning routines have long included Emma’s presence, and her return is highly anticipated. Alongside her, Bernie Vince, a former professional AFL player turned media personality, continues as co-host. His seamless transition from sports to radio has been well-received due to his relatable humour and engaging storytelling.
Joining them permanently is Bel Sloane, an emerging radio talent who has quickly captured the hearts of Adelaide listeners. Bel, already known outside radio circles as the wife of AFL star Rory Sloane, has demonstrated a natural aptitude for broadcasting that resonates well with the audience. Her temporary stint during Emma’s maternity leave, coupled with her relatable charm and witty banter, made her an instant hit, paving the way for her permanent role on the show.
Bernie Vince expressed his excitement about the upcoming year, “I’ve missed my mate G, and I know listeners have too, so I’m excited to have her back in 2026. It’s been awesome having Bel step in while Emma was on leave, she’s done an amazing job, and I’m stoked she’s staying on. Together, we’re going to create something special next year. With two fantastic women, mums and friends by my side, I can’t wait to see what we’ll offer our listeners in 2026. I can’t wait to get started”
Emma G shared her enthusiasm about rejoining the team, “After some precious time with my newborn, I’m excited to get back into it with the SAFM family. I’ve missed our listeners and can’t wait to switch the 4am wake ups from feeds to fun! I’m looking forward to bringing fresh energy and ideas with Bernie and Bel to create something exciting for Adelaide.”
Bel Sloane added, “I never imagined I’d get used to 4am alarms, but here we are! I am so thrilled that Bern, Emma and the team have invited me to stay on and make this permanent. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed these past few months, learning not only about radio but also getting to know this amazing city and its people better. But what’s been even more special is showing my kids that there’s more to me than just being their mum.”
Adelaide listeners can begin their mornings with this fresh and appealing mix of personalities starting mid-January!
SAFM Breakfast show, Bel, Bernie & Emma G, will be heard from 6am to 9am, Monday to Friday from Monday, January 19th and is also available on LiSTNR.
