The PONIES trailer and key art reveal Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson as unlikely CIA operatives ahead of the espionage series’ January 15 Peacock debut.

Peacock has released the official trailer, key art, and new episodic imagery for PONIES, its upcoming espionage thriller series starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson. All eight episodes will debut on Thursday, January 15, exclusively on Peacock.

Set in Moscow in 1977, PONIES centers on two women classified as “persons of no interest” within the intelligence community. Bea and Twila work anonymously as secretaries at the American Embassy, blending into the background of Cold War-era diplomacy. That anonymity shatters when both women lose their husbands under mysterious circumstances in the USSR, setting off a chain of events that pulls them into the dangerous world of espionage.

Clarke stars as Bea, an over-educated, Russian-speaking daughter of Soviet immigrants whose knowledge and background make her a valuable asset. Richardson plays Twila, a fearless and abrasive small-town woman whose instincts prove just as powerful as training. Together, the two unlikely operatives are recruited into the CIA and tasked with uncovering a sprawling Cold War conspiracy.

As the mystery deepens, Bea and Twila work to expose the truth behind the events that made them widows, navigating deception, danger, and betrayal along the way. The newly released trailer and images tease a tense, high-stakes journey that blends personal loss with international intrigue.

With all episodes dropping at once, PONIES invites viewers to fully immerse themselves in its Cold War setting when the series premieres January 15 on Peacock.
