Even Blake Lively‘s game nights are controversial!

“I have been teaching friends how to play Mahjong, though I need to say I’m not a certified teacher,” the Gossip Girl alum, 38, explained in a new interview with Vogue. “But I know enough to teach my friends how to play with me, and in the end, I always end up gifting them my own set because they are obsessed and want to practice.”

She prefers the ones from Oh My Mahjong, where a set of tiles starts at $400, while starter kits, including mats and pouches, run upwards of $640.

Critics were quick to slam the actress, who is approaching the one-year anniversary of her widely publicized $161 million sexual harassment lawsuit against her It Ends With Us costar and director, Justin Baldoni.

“I think her list will be very very short this year…” scoffed one Daily Mail commenter, while others suggested she was trying to “buy friendships.”

Others called her “out of touch” and shaded her for “bragging about expensive gifts,” noting that similar tiles can be bought for a fraction of that price online.

“Even if she had donated that money to a good cause,” scoffed one commenter, “it still wouldn’t change public opinion of her.”
