A new Spider-Man 4 update has shed some light on when we might see the highly anticipated trailer for the movie.
What is the latest on the Spider-Man 4 trailer?
In a recent Q&A session on The Cosmic Circus, insider Alex Perez was asked about when we might see a trailer for the film. Perez noted that we’ll likely see one sometime “next year,” and implied that we might see one close to February, in line with the Super Bowl.
As far as the movie’s development goes, Perez also said that “a lot of practicality” is being done for the movie, and specifically praised some of the “awesome movements” he’s seen so far.
“I have to give my props to the stunt coordinators because, holy crap, these might just be some of the most awesome movements I’ve seen from Spider-Man in a long time,” Perez wrote. “Without giving away the whole thing, there is a “one-er” planned that just screams Raimi and Webb inspiration, and it is absolutely phenomenal. This is a Spider-Man who has honed in on his fighting, his abilities, and his Spider-Sense. It’s like they put Jackie Chan himself in the damn suit.”
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed the MCU film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which was released in 2021. Cretton was also attached to direct the fourth Avengers movie for a time, back when it was called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, but stepped down from the position in November 2023.
The movie will once again be led by Tom Holland as he reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Emmy winner Zendaya and Jacob Batalo are also expected to return for the sequel.
They will be joined by cast members Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Jon Bernthal, and Tillman, among others. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, and Avi Arad.
Spider-Man 4 will be released in U.S. theaters on July 31, 2026, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17, 2027).
