The “Learn to Sail” pathway offers a complete range of courses — from dinghies to keelboats — delivered through accredited clubs and sailing schools nationwide, with each level taught by qualified instructors and recognised both nationally and internationally. Complementing this, Yachting New Zealand’s RŪNĀ initiative brings sailing and marine learning into the classroom, offering three engaging modules — Kōrinorino (local history and navigation), Kōkōkaha (wind science and design), and Moanamana (marine ecosystem restoration).
