Britney Spears’ niece, Maddie, recently made a subtle nod to the superstar.
On Tuesday, December 16, Maddie, 17 — whose mom is the 44-year-old Princess of Pop’s younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears — posted a TikTok lip-syncing to the pop star’s 2000 hit, “Lucky.”
In the video, Maddie is dressed in a pink dress with black bows, sitting on her bed, filming herself mouthing the lyrics “And they say / She’s so lucky, she’s a star / But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking / If there’s nothing missing in…”

As Star previously reported, in October, a source told the Daily Mail that the Grammy Award winner’s loved ones were “terrified” that she was “losing control” based on her recent behavior.
Meanwhile, it is unclear where Britney and Jamie Lynn, 34, stand, as they have had an on-and-off relationship over the years.
In her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, Britney accused the Zoey 101 star of “capitalizing” on her conservatorship by releasing the 2022 book Things I Should Have Said.

“She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous. I was really let down,” the singer-songwriter wrote, per Entertainment Weekly. “Shouldn’t sisters be able to confess their fear or vulnerability to each other without that later being used as evidence of instability?”
However, Britney noted she wished Jamie Lynn “the absolute best.”
Meanwhile, Britney’s kids Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19 — whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline — seem to have maintained a relationship with Jamie Lynn and Maddie, as the Sweet Magnolias actress shared a snap on Instagram of the boys at Maddie’s softball senior night in September.
