Google released the original Pixel Watch in 2022 and three years later in 2025, the tech company has refined the smartwatch into something that’s more sleek to wear on your wrist without skimping on features. If past versions emphasized function and usability, the Pixel Watch 4 emphasizes a combination of power and style.

Starting at $299.98 (reg. $349.99) on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target, the Google Pixel Watch 4 is the best smartwatch for Android users. If you’re in the Google ecosystem of products and services and you want a smartwatch that’s fitting for just about any occasion, then this is the wearable for you.

Here’s a review of our experience testing the new Google Pixel Watch 4 broken down by features, design and wearability.

Google Pixel Watch 4 Display

At 1.2 inches, the Pixel Watch 4 (41mm) packs in detail and sharpness in a small presentation. Even at a glance, I found that the display was highly readable and crisp with all of its watch faces and text notifications. It’s tough and heavy duty too, thanks to its Corning Gorilla Glass 5 build quality.

After a month of use, there are no scratches and dings on the watch face or base, which is very impressive since I’m sometimes clumsy and prone to accidents, like bumping into walls or hitting my wrist on my bedroom door.

And since the display is round, unlike the Apple Watch Series 11, the Pixel Watch 4 could be mistaken for a traditional wristwatch, especially with a watch face like “Pilot Bold,” which easily blends into your own personal style. In fact, instead of looking and feeling chunky, like a modern piece of tech, the smartwatch feels understated on the wrist — almost elegant and graceful, even in a casual setting.

Google Pixel Watch 4 Style

What sets the Google Pixel Watch 4 apart from the Apple Watch Series 11 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 is its versatility from one setting to another. Since the smartwatch is understated, it can seamlessly go from casual to professional and athletic to formal at a moments notice with Google’s wide selection of colors, fonts, watch faces, like “Active,” “Corsa,” or “Digital Bold,” and watch bands, including active sport band, woven band, metal links band, two-tone leather band, metal mesh band, or others. The possibility to mix and match are nearly endless with various styles and fits.

The smartwatch’s round shape brings it inline with traditional watches, so no one would think it’s a smartwatch at first glance. It’s breezy and simple to swap out watch bands depending on the occasion and your personal style.

Google Pixel Watch 4 Fitness & Sleep Tracking

Back in 2021, Google acquired FitBit and proceed to add their tracking and services in the Pixel Watch line of smartwatches. The Google Pixel Watch 4 transitions from digital timepiece to fitness tracking with ease with a suite of features to read your health vitals, such as heart rate. Although you get six months of FitBit Premium (the subscription service starts at $9.99 per month) for free to track high-level vitals, there’s more than enough free options in the watch itself to get the most out of your workouts and daily activities.

For 2025, sleep tracking has been improved with advanced readouts for better quality of sleep. It even pinpoints how many hours you were in deep sleep, while tracking your oxygen variation levels and heart rate, so you can really understand your bedtime routine to feel even more rested.

Google Pixel Watch 4 Battery Life

One of the standout features of the Google Pixel Watch 4 is its newly-designed charging cradle. Past generations came with flat charging pucks with the watch face facing up. However, it features an all-new charging cradle that stands up the smartwatch to make it easier to read and glance at when you’re laying in bed or at a desk. It’s a very smart design.

As for battery life, I routinely got about a day-and-a-half charge out of the Pixel Watch 4. I’d take the smartwatch off the charging cradle in the morning around 6 a.m. and I’d put it back on the charger around noon the next day. Google says you’d get up to 30 hours of use per charge and that pretty much lines up with my daily use.

However, most people would return the smartwatch to its cradle to charge overnight for the next day of use, but for those who want to wear it to bed to track sleeping, there’s more than enough charge to get an accurate reading and use still it during the work day.

Google Pixel Watch 4 Review: Is It Worth It?

Overall, the Google Pixel Watch 4 is a refined and elegant smartwatch, especially for Google Pixel 10 smartphone users. It’s sleek and stylish, as well as versatile for almost any occasion with a quick watch band and watch face swap. It’s also the most polished smartwatch to buy in 2025 and going into 2026.

With prices starting at $299.98 (reg. $349.99) on Amazon, the Google Pixel Watch 4 comes in 41mm and 45mm models, as well as WiFi and LTE mobile models too. You can choose various watch band colors out-of-the-box, including iris, lemongrass, obsidian, and porcelain.
