Netflix brings the ultimate Christmas gift this year with “Stranger Things 5: Volume 2,” a batch of three new episodes that will pave the way for the SERIES FINALE on New Year’s Eve.
Co-creator Ross Duffer has taken to Instagram this afternoon to share the official runtimes for Christmas Day’s three new episodes, along with the runtime for the show’s big finale.
Here’s the rundown…
Chapter 5: Shock Jock – 1 hour, 8 minutes
Chapter 6: Escape from Camazotz – 1 hour, 15 minutes
Chapter 7: The Bridge – 1 hour, 6 minutes
Chapter 8: The Rightside Up – 2 hours, 8 minutes
That means just 337 minutes remain before “Stranger Things” wraps up its fifth and final season, giving us just over 5 1/2 hours left of brand new content from the hit Netflix series.
What to expect? Ross Duffer previously had this to say about each of the three episodes that will be arriving at 8pm ET on Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25, 2025)…
“Shock Jock picks up moments after the end of Sorcerer. [Director] Frank Darabont is back, but he flexes very different muscles on this one than he did on Turnbow Trap— it’s far darker, and far scarier. Escape from Camazotz is Shawn Levy’s return to the director’s chair. It’s the biggest episode of the three— and the performances make us cry every time we watch it. The Bridge… we co-directed this one with Shawn [Levy]. Don’t want to say too much, but aside from the finale, it’s probably the most emotional chapter of the season.”
