This has never ever happened before and it will never happen in future as well when it comes to scoring at such high levels for three weeks in a row, right from the 1st to the 21st day. Picture this – Dhurandhar collected Rs. 28.70 crores on the day it opened. Now, guess it’s collections on its third Thursday, the 21st day. It’s as huge as Rs. 28.60 crores, which is practically the same as the first day, which is simply unbelievable and unprecedented.
The fact that the film has come so close to the Rs. 30 crores mark goes on to show the kind of sustained momentum that it is seeing on a daily basis. Other than the fact that the ticket rates are also high, these kind of collections also establish that the footfalls would be superb for the film and would be amongst the highest ever. In fact, what is now assured is that the combined footfalls of Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2 would be the biggest ever in history and would take it amongst classics like Sholay, Mughal-e-Azam and Hum Aapke Hain… Koun.
The Aditya Dhar film has now reached Rs. 668.80 crores and the collections will surely go past Rs. 20 crores mark today as well. It will then come close to Rs. 690 crores total and by tomorrow afternoon it will enter the 700 Crore Club. In fact, by the close of fourth weekend, even Rs. 750 crores mark would have been crossed and it won’t be surprising if an entry into the Rs. 800 Crore Club takes place by the time fourth weekend comes to a close.
