STATEWIDE (WGME) – Flu cases in Maine are on the rise, with more than 800 cases reported last week, according to the Maine CDC.
The agency reported 864 positive cases and 69 hospitalizations by the end of last week.
Most positive tests were among individuals aged five to 24. The CDC’s website indicates that reported cases and hospitalizations in Maine are spiking more this year compared to last year.
A pediatrician described this flu season as “horrible” to the Portland Press Herald newspaper.
